Cr Howell has lived in Grenfell since around 1967. Retired from the NSW Rural Fire Service however during her tenure included roles of Regional Administration Officer, District Administration Officer in two district offices and the Learning and Development Officer, Cr Howell is still heavily involved as a volunteer with the NSW RFS having volunteered with them since 1997. Cr Howell was recently appointed as a Director to the NSW RFS Association Board. Cr Howell is also known in the community for her role she plays in the Grenfell Girl Guides. Cr Howell has been the Unit Leader since 1996 and now the Grenfell Guide District Manager. Outside of all her work, Cr Howell likes to do quilting and cross stitching. A wife to Lawrence with three daughters and two grandchildren.
