Open Access Information

Council is required to publish certain open access information on Council's website, free of charge.

Section 18 of the GIPA Act stipulates that this includes: -

  1. Council's current policy documents;
  2. a disclosure log of access applications determined by Council as being of interest to other members of the public;
  3. a register of government contracts valued at $150,000 (including GST) or more that Council is party to;
  4. a record of the open access information (if any) that Council does not make publicly available on the basis of an overriding public interest against disclosure; and
  5. any other government information as may be prescribed by the GIPA Regulation as open access information.

  1. Information contained in the current version and the most recent previous version of the following records:
    1. Code of Conduct and Model Code of Conduct
    2. Code of Meeting Practice
    3. Annual Report
    4. Financial Statements
    5. Auditor's Report
    6. Management Plan
    7. Policy for Equal Employment Opportunity
    8. Policy for Fees, Expenses and Facilities for Councillors
    9. annual reports of bodies exercising functions delegated by Council (N/A)
    10. any codes referred to in the LG Act
  2. Information contained in the following records (whenever created):
    1. Disclosures Returns
    2. Agendas for Council Meetings and Agendas for Committee Meetings
    3. Minutes of Council Meetings and Minutes of Committee Meetings
    4. reports by the Chief Executive of the OLG presented at a meeting of Council under s433 of the LG Act (N/A)
  3. Information contained in the current version of the following records:
    1. land register
    2. register of investments
    3. register of delegations
    4. register of graffiti removal work kept in accordance with s13 of the Graffiti Control Act 2008
    5. register of current declarations of disclosures of political donations kept in accordance with s328A of the LG Act
    6. register of voting on planning matters kept in accordance with s375A of the LG Act

Information contained in the current version and the most recent previous version of the following records:

  1. local policies adopted by Council concerning approvals and orders
  2. Plans of Management for community land
  3. environmental planning instruments, development control plans, and contributions plans made under the EPA Act

Information about development applications

Information contained in the following records (whenever created):

  1. development applications and any associated documents received in relation to a proposed development
  2. records of decisions made on or after 1 July 2010 on development applications
  3. a record that describes the general nature of documents that are excluded from this information under s3(2) of Schedule 1 of the GIPA Regulation

Approvals, orders and other documents

Information contained in the following records (whenever created):

  1. applications for approvals under Part 1 of Chapter 7 of the LG Act and any associated documents received in relation to such an application
  2. applications for approvals under any other Act and any associated documents received in relation to such an applciation
  3. records of approvals granted or refused, any variation from local policies with reasons for the variation, and decisions made on appeals concerning approvals
  4. orders given under Part 2 of Chapter 7 of the LG Act and any reasons given under s136 of the LG Act
  5. orders given under the authority of any other Act
  6. records of building certificates under the EPA Act
  7. plans of land proposed to be compulsorily acquired by Council
  8. compulsory acquisition notices
  9. leases and licences for use of public land classified as community land
  10. performance improvement orders issued under Part 6 of Chapter 13 of the LG Act
