Weddin Shire Council is pleased to advise that with effect 1 July 2026, Council's Administration Office and Service NSW Counter will be open every Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm (with the exception of Public Holidays).

COMMUNITY NOTICE | RESPONSIBLE COLLECTION OF FIREWOOD

As cooler weather starts to settle in, Council wishes to remind residents and visitors that the collection of wood from roadsides, reserves or travelling stock routes is not permitted. Anyone caught removing wood from these areas may be issued with a significant fine, up to $5,500.
Councils roadsides and reserves often contain remnant vegetation with a high conservation status.

PUBLIC NOTICE | NEW SEAFOOD LABELLING FROM 1 JULY 2026
If you serve seafood for immediate consumption – whether it’s eaten at your venue, taken away, delivered, from a food truck or restaurant – you must now tell customers where that seafood came from.

From 1 July 2026, all dishes with seafood must clearly display whether the seafood is Australian, Imported or of Mixed origin.
