TEMPORARY - MAIN STREET OFFSET PARKING THE CRITERION HOTEL
A temporary carpark(PDF, 381KB) has been established at the back of the Criterion Hotel (cnr Teston and George Streets). The carpark is to assist customers accessing the Main Street shops and provides the closest access to the Mawhood’s IGA. Please note that the carpark is not for all day parking. During this limited time (approximately the next fortnight) we will have passive surveillance to encourage parking to turn over.
Works will now limit the ability to park at the front of the Mawhood’s IGA. Works are now progressing at the front of the Mawhood’s IGA (centre island). The road section immediately at the front of the IGA will be the focus in coming days with concrete pouring scheduled for Wednesday 10 May 2023.
The concrete requires a ten day curing time which will limit any vehicle access immediately at the front of the Mawhood’s IGA.
A reminder that a temporary pedestrian crossing has been established on the eastern boundary of the Mawhood’s IGA and Beauty Spot.
