PUBLIC NOTICE | WEDDIN SHIRE COUNCIL

CHANGE OF DATE FOR SEPTEMBER 2023 & DECEMBER 2023 ORDINARY COUNCIL MEETINGS

In accordance with Council’s Code of Meeting Practice, and under section 365 of the Local Government Act 1993, Councils are required to meet at least ten (10) times each year, each time in a different month.  Weddin Shire Council Ordinary Meetings are held at 5:00pm on the third Thursday of each month.

At the Ordinary Council Meeting of 20 July 2023, Council resolved (Resolution 142/23) to reschedule the September Ordinary Council meeting from the third Thursday of the month 21 September 2023, to the fourth Thursday of the month
28 September 2023 commencing at 5:00pm. And to reschedule the December Ordinary Council Meeting from the third Thursday of the month 21 December 2023, to the second Thursday of the month 14 December 2023.  In addition, the resolution included the change in time for both the November 2023 and December 2023 Ordinary Council meetings to commence at 8:00am.

Weddin Shire Council wishes to advise the community that the Ordinary Council Meeting of September 2023 will be held on Thursday 28 September 2023 commencing at 5:00pm.

Ordinary Council meetings will return to the normal schedule on the third Thursday of the month, following the June Ordinary Council Meeting.
