PUBLIC NOTICE | PLANNED ROAD CLOSURE FROM TOMORROW
A reminder to our community that there will be a planned road closure from 5:00am at the western end of the Main Street, Grenfell (bottom end). The closure will commence from tomorrow, Wednesday 19 April 2023 to Friday 21 April 2023 and will reopen once the essential works (asphalt) are completed and set in the evening of Friday 21 April 2023.
Council wishes to advise that the section of the Main Street Grenfell between Forbes Street and the Mid Western Highway will be closed to traffic. We ask that all vehicles in the Main Street are removed by 5:00am to allow us to establish the worksite tomorrow.
As part of the Main Street reconstruction, contractors will be carrying out asphalt sealing work on the recently completed concrete pavement, over these three days. The Forbes Street / Main Street roundabout will remain open to traffic, as will the section of Main Street between Forbes Street and Camp Street.
All businesses in this section of Main Street will have pedestrian access and parking is available in surrounding areas. Support our local businesses. They are still open!
The street closure dates are subject to unforeseen events such as weather disruption and Council staff will liaise with business operators in this regard if plans change. For the most up-to-date information, please visit Council’s website or Facebook page.
