PUBLIC NOTICE |ROAD MAINTENANCE

MID-WESTERN HIGHWAY, GRENFELL NSW 2810 FROM 12 JANUARY 2025

Council wishes to advise that essential road maintenance works will commence on the Mid-Western Highway from Monday 12 January 2026, weather permitting.

The works are planned to take place between the Cowra Boundary and Porter Mount Road, west of Caragabal NSW 2810 . Construction will be delivered in three stages, progressing from east of Grenfell, through the Grenfell township, and then to the west of Grenfell NSW 2810.

Works are scheduled to occur between 7:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday, and 8:00am to 1:00pm on Saturdays, with the project expected to be completed by Saturday 17 January 2026, subject to weather conditions.

During construction, the road will remain open under single-lane traffic arrangements, with intermittent stopping and a temporary speed limit of 40 km/h in place. Motorists are advised to allow for up to ten minutes additional travel time and to follow all traffic signage and directions from traffic controllers.

Access to properties will be maintained throughout the works. Essential services, and emergency vehicles, will be prioritised.
