Council wishes to advise that Main Street Grenfell between Forbes Street and the Mid Western Highway will be closed to traffic from Wednesday 19 April 2023 to Friday 21 April 2023 for essential roadworks.
As part of the Main Street reconstruction, contractors will be carrying out asphalt sealing work on the recently completed concrete pavement, over these three days.
The Forbes Street / Main Street roundabout will remain open to traffic, as will the section of Main Street between Forbes Street and Camp Street.
All businesses in this section of Main Street will have pedestrian access and parking is available in surrounding areas.
The street closure dates are subject to unforeseen events such as weather disruption and Council staff will liaise with business operators in this regard if plans change. For the most up-to-date information, please visit Council’s website or Facebook page.
