COMMUNITY NOTICE | ROAD SAFETY DURING HARVEST SEASON
COMMUNITY NOTICE | ROAD SAFETY DURING HARVEST SEASON
Published on 04 November 2024
With harvest in full swing, you’ll spot more tractors, trucks, and wide-load farm equipment on the roads. Let’s keep everyone safe by following these simple reminders:
Give trucks and machinery plenty of space—their larger loads need extra room to stop.
Double-check before pulling onto main roads. Fully loaded grain trucks have a longer stopping distance than cars.
If concerned about debris, pull over safely to protect your windscreen.
Respect wide-load warnings and pay attention to safety signs.
Look out for special signs indicating trucks turning or crossing ahead.
Thanks for staying alert and helping keep our roads safe this season! Here’s to a safe and successful harvest for all our farmers!
