COMMUNITY NOTICE | TREE TRIMMING - GRENFELL

Weddin Shire Council advises that tree trimming works commenced in Grenfell on Tuesday 5 May 2026. Works will begin in Weddin Street, Short Street, and Warraderry Street, with the community to be progressively updated as the program continues across the township. The current schedule is expected to conclude on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.

COMMUNITY NOTICE | GREEN CESTRUM

Green cestrum (Cestrum parqui) has been sighted in several private properties during roadside inspections in the Grenfell town area.
This is a highly toxic invasive shrub that poses serious risks to people, animals, and the environment.
⚠️ Why it’s a problem:
Green cestrum:
• Is poisonous to people, pets, livestock, and native animals
• Can reduce livestock productivity as infested pastures ......

PUBLIC NOTICE | Main Street Cleaning

Weddin Shire Council advises that footpath cleaning and pressure washing will be undertaken in Main Street commencing from Monday 4 May 2026, between 6:15am and 7:15am. The works are expected to conclude on Friday 22 May 2026 .
Footpath areas to be cleaned will be identified by temporary barriers. Patrons of the area will be asked to move while cleaning and pressure washing is undertaken through
