MEDIA RELEASE | SUPPORT FOR THE RURAL HEALTH ACTION PLAN

TWeddin Shire Council has formally resolved at its 19 March 2026 Ordinary Council meeting to support improved rural health care by becoming a signatory to an open letter from Dr Joe McGirr MP to the Minister for Regional Health, the Hon Ryan Park MP. The letter calls for State Government support for the Better Care, Closer to Home Alliance’s Rural Health Action Plan, a comprehensive reform agenda

PUBLIC NOTICE | GRENFELL AQUATIC CENTRE 2025/2026 SEASON CLOSURE

Weddin Shire Council wishes to advise that the Grenfell Aquatic Centre will close for the 2025/2026 season on Sunday 29 March 2026 at 6:00pm.

Council thanks our community and visitors for their patronage this season and we look forward to welcoming you back later in the year.

MEDIA RELEASE | HIGH-TECH SAFETY UPGRADES LEVEL CROSSING

The Minns Labor Government has started design work on a proposed major safety upgrade of the level crossing at Mary Gilmore Way, Bribbaree, south of Grenfell, while interim improvements will also be delivered on the road approach to the crossing.
The proposed upgrade would transform the crossing from a passive crossing into an active one, delivering new retro-reflective boom gates, updated signage
