2027 AUSTRALIA DAY | NOMINATIONS OPEN

Weddin Shire Council is pleased to advise that the 2027 Weddin Shire Australia Day Award Nominations are now open.

Council are seeking nominations for the following categories:

  • Weddin Shire Citizen of the Year
  • Weddin Shire Senior Citizen of the Year
  • Weddin Shire Community Event/Organisation of the Year
  • Weddin Shire Community Achievement Award

  • Weddin Shire Junior* and Senior Sportsperson of the Year (new).

Do you know someone who consistently goes above and beyond, an organisation making a meaningful contribution, an event that brings people together, or a sportsperson achieving outstanding results? Council encourages you to submit a nomination so their efforts can receive the recognition they deserve. Previous award winners and nominees may be nominated again.

*Junior Category is for 18 Years and under.

This year, the nomination form(PDF, 376KB)  is an electronic nomination form. Please complete the form on your computer and email to mail@weddin.nsw.gov.au or alternatively pop in to the Visitor Information Centre and the team will assist you to complete the nomination form.  The nomination forms are available on Council’s website at:  https://www.weddin.nsw.gov.au/Council/Forms
