PUBLIC NOTICE - PRESENTATION OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

as per Section 418 (3) of the Local Government Act.

 In accordance with Section 418 (3) of the Local Government Act, 1993, Weddin Shire Council advises that the Ordinary Council Meeting to be held on 17/11/16 will include the presentation of the audited Financial Statements and the Auditor's Reports for the financial year ending 30 June 2016.

 Submissions close one week after the above Public Meeting has been held.

AUSTRALIA DAY 2017 AWARDS 

Interested persons and organisations are invited to make nominations for the Weddin Shire Australia Day 2017 Awards.

Categories are:       -      Citizen of the Year

                               -      Senior Citizen of the Year

                               -      Community Event/Organisation of the Year

                               -      Community Achievement Awards in any category.

                               -      Achievement Award – each secondary and primary school in the Shire.

                               -      HSC Academic Award – Henry Lawson High School

 

Nominations forms are available at the Council Chambers or Council’s website www.weddin.nsw.gov.au  and will be accepted up until 30 November 2016.

  

STREET STALLS 2017

Applications in writing may now be lodged with the undersigned for allocation of dates for street stalls during 2017.  It is anticipated that an allocation of dates will take place in December 2016.

Applications close on Friday, 9 December 2016.

 

GRENFELL CINEMA

Residents are hereby advised that the next film at the Grenfell Cinema will be shown as below:

Council is inviting applications from motivated and enthusiastic persons to fill the following positions:

  • Two Casual Labourers

Appointment to the positions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.

PLANNING PROPOSAL TO AMEND WEDDIN LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL PLAN 2011 &

DRAFT RURAL SETTLEMENT PROJECT AND ADDENDUM

A Planning Proposal to Amend Weddin Local Environmental Plan 2011 (Amendment 2) to provide additional Zone R5 Large Lot Residential and Draft Rural Settlement Project and Addendum documentation has been developed by Council.

Council has continued its work in progressing its plans to provide the ability for more Large Lot Residential opportunities within Grenfell.

The process has progressed to a point where documentation has been approved by Planning NSW for Council to engage in public consultation.

To this effect, Council has placed these documents on public exhibition for 28 days seeking comments.  The documents are available on the Council website or Administration Building for review.

In relation to the public exhibition of the documents submissions will be received up to 4pm 7th December 2016.
