Council seeks the services of a qualified Civil Engineer with demonstrated experience in Local Government Engineering.

The successful applicant will assist the Director Engineering in survey, design and construction, preparing estimates, quality assessment, liaising with ratepayers, grants submissions and Work Health & Safety and Risk Management.

 Weddin Shire Council is a ‘stand alone’ Council and is financially sustainable with a committed workforce.

As there are limited tickets available residents are encouraged to book early.



 Council is seeking expressions of interest from owners of property who may wish to undertake conservation works on structures that could be classed as having historic or heritage value. Conservation work includes repairs, replacement, painting or removal of inappropriate alterations additions.

 Each application will be treated on its merit and all ratepayers are eligible to apply.

 Applications need to be returned to Council by the 9 September 2016.

 Application forms may be obtained from the Shire Office, website or by telephoning the Office on 63431212 or emailed if requested.


 Residents are advised the Taxi Rank in Main Street outside IGA is operational as from Monday, 29 August 2016.

 The relocation will enable the taxi to be much more accessible to residents.
