APPROVED OFF LEASH AREAS

Council at the September 2016 meeting resolved to declare the below described area as an “Off Leash” area under the Companion Animals Act 1998.

Lot 1 DP 126544 on the corner of West Street and South Street, bounded by Council Depot to the West and private land to the South as a Council approved Off Leash Area for a trial period of 12 months and review.

Please note the Grenfell Arboretum within the confines of the boundaries along Gooloogong Road, Parkes Street excluding the area defined by the boundary fences of the aged units, the northern boundary of Bourks Street and the top of the southern bank of Emu Creek along North Street remains an approved Off Leash Area.

Council advises that it is the responsibility of the person who is in charge of the animal to ensure that the animal remains wholly within the described area, does not harass, attack or charge at other animals or persons and that if the animal defecates the faeces is collected and disposed of in the appropriate manner. On the spot Penalty Notices may be imposed for failure to comply with requirements.

HENRY LAWSON OVAL OFF LEASH AREA

Council at the September 2016 meeting resolved to cease the use of the below described area as an “Off Leash” area under the Companion Animals Act 1998.

Henry Lawson Oval complex; within the confines of the southern and eastern boundaries, the boundaries along Young Road and Lawson Drive.

Council wishes to advise Under the Companion Animals Act 1998 penalties may be imposed if you are in charge, or the owner of a dog seen within this area.

 

GRENFELL CINEMA

Residents are hereby advised that the next film at the Grenfell Cinema will be shown as below:

NAMING OF ROAD – BOGOLONG DAM

Council proposes to name the access road to Bogolong Dam as Bogolong Dam Road.

Comments on the proposed naming of the road will be received in writing to the General Manager up until 2 November, 2016.

Council is inviting applications from motivated and enthusiastic persons to fill the following positions:

  • Grader Operator
  • Water Cart Operator
  • Self-Propelled Roller Operator

Appointment to the positions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
