From 1 July 2019 people selling or giving away kittens, cats, puppies or dogs will need to include an identification number in any advertisement. The identification number can be:
This new rule applies regardless of:
Failure to supply an identification number, or falsifying a number when advertising from 1 July 2019 may mean an on the spot fine or Court, with a maximum penalty of $5,500.00 being imposed.
