The Councils of Forbes, Lachlan, Parkes and Weddin Shires have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to form an alliance (called the Mid Lachlan Alliance) to work cooperatively together, share resources and knowledge, and seek greater efficiencies. more ..

CENTROC - Published: 20 Aug 2009
Weddin Shire Council is one of 17 local government members of CENTROC, which is the Central West Regional Organisation of Councils. CENTROC is a forum for joint projects and resource sharing by councils, and has also become a strong advocate for community issues. more ..

Country City Alliance - Published: 05 Aug 2009
On Friday 16 May 2008, Weddin Shire Council signed a "Memorandum of Understanding" with Hawkesbury City Council. This was a historical event that formally developed two important relationships through the City-Country Alliance program, and is the first of its kind for Weddin Shire Council. more ..
