The Grenfell Art Gallery was officially opened on 3 April 2009 as part of the new Community Hub. The Gallery is being managed and operated by local volunteers led by two committee appointees, Joan Bolton OAM and Chris Lobb. The Gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday, betwen the hours 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. We are very happy with the range of works presented, with a mixture of subjects and mediums used. We have called this exhibition NATURE’S BOUNTY’ more .. Future Exhibitions - Published: 29 Jun 2009 Future Exhibitions will include:- Sculptured Curtain - Published: 25 Jun 2009 The curtain began its journey in 1990 and its evolution meandered along until 2000 when the deadline for completion was set - the Centenary of Federation, September 2001. The curtain is 14 feet high comprises five panels each of which is five foot wide. There was a team of 17 volunteers working on the project with funding coming from the Grenfell Dramatic Society. The curtain has been constructed on fire resistant canvas. |
