Here are some links to other informative websites which may be of use to you. eResources. This gives you access to a number of databases from the NSW.net entry point. Click on the name of the database and enter your member number if requested. Masterfile Premier provides full text for more than 1,730 general reference publications and is also good for biographies, images and primary source documents. ANZ Reference Centre combines Australasian magazines, newspapers and reference books in full text. There are also easy-to-use science, literature and health databases, plus access to Standards Australia Online and NoveList which offers suggestions for books you might like to read. World Book Online . Click here and enter your membership number when requested to access the World Book Online Reference Centre. It has every article from the encyclodedias plus magazine articles, maps, video clips, animiations and special reports. State Library Catalogue. This gives you access to the State Library Catelogue which many will find very useful. Libraries Australia . This takes you to the national database which containes more than 40 million books, journals, pictures and other resources located in over 800 Australian libraries. At "Search" enter a title, author or ISBN or use the link to find statistics and information on Australian law, literature, history and government. You can see if this library holds an item or identifiy another library which does. New South Wales Family History Document Service: Search here for directories, electoral rolls, lands records, mining records, pastoral and agricultural records and occupations lists. A treasure trove for the family historian, though unfortunately there is no remote access - you must use this database in the Library. Choice Online: The site to visit before you go shopping! There's instant access to all online tests and reports, online calculations and access to CHOICE shopper. Again it can only be used within the library as there is a specific password required. Reader Advisory Information: This link takes you to the reader advisory service of another library. You can find the names of authors who write the same type of books under "Authors by Genre" and go to other reader advisory websites by clicking on the links under "What can I Read next?" When you find an author or books that interest you ring, email or call at the library to see if they are available here. Or you can check holdings for a book yourself on Libraries Australia from the link on the library's website. Drug Info @ Your Council This link takes you directly to the Drug Information section of the State Library website. Here you can find quality-assured information on a wide range of legal and illegal drugs and contact points for help or further information. Excellent for school research or to help you make informed decisions. Your Tutor Need help with your homework? Want some study advice? Click here to receive online tutoring in a range of subjects from accredited graduates. Full access from your home comupter using your library member number as the password.
